Game Pie Recipe – Dad's Best Pie Recipe

Game Pie Recipe – Dad’s Best Pie Recipe.I love Game Pie. This type of dish is very traditional in British Cooking. This traditional Game Pie Recipe is a delicious, rich, warming meat pie. Perfect for this time of year when the weather get’s colder, the fire is burning and the board games are on the table.
A traditional British Food Dish, very simple to make, very tasty to eat. This is my dad’s recipe, for years, ever since I can remember he has made this pie for us all. It’s the best pie recipe I know. It works so well with any dark meats or game. In this version we have used Partridge, Pheasant, Mallard (duck) and Venison (deer) mixed with herbs and a thick rich gravy.
I loved making this video with my dad, from me British Cook to you awesome people who watch my videos. Thank you so much for all of the support. It’s great to know people find these recipes useful and use them time and time again. • Great video. I'll make one of these this week. Perfect winter meal. Thanks to your Dad! I'm recently back from Wales and had my first Glamorgan sausages. Would you consider doing a video on those? They were fantastic!

  • Looks delicious. I think I’d be scared to do the flambé part. I’d probably accidentally burn down my house. Lol.
Love that your dad appeared in the video with you. He looks like a nice & friendly man. My late father was an excellent cook. He was known for making the best hummus in the world. Thanks for the inspiration. Perhaps I should do a video of my dad’s hummus recipe!

  • That looks absolutely delicious! Who doesn't love a pie? Steak, kidney and beer, or chicken, ham (or bacon), leek and mushroom are my favourites, but I'd give game a go. Good tip about letting the filling cool, otherwise the pastry gets soggy. Your Dad looks lovely. Oh, pie "riser" called a pie funnel. 🙂
