  • Excellent. It's a hard sell even when you lay it right out there. A target game for sure.

  • Marky at 3:37 to 3:42 the slow mow ball was not in the same place at all as the full speed swing. Am I wrong? looks like some good camera work sir. Lol yep after looking closer the ball in the slow motion swing moves a lot. I couldn’t Finnish the vid! I love your stuff though

  • Mark like the video. It does help. How do you get the path and face you control to a feel? Also how do you visualize a shot to target and how do you get focus off the ball when looking down at the ball? Thanks.

  • This is really an outstanding video. I live in Port Elizabeth South Africa and I really do not know where one could go to have a lesson with this info back up. I play on a Links and find your lessons really great. Thanks.

  • Rank amateur here hitting mid to high 90's. Your videos over the last couple of months have brought me down from regularly hitting 110+. This video is brilliant and is helping me take the pressure off by not worrying so much about technique and concentrating on enjoying the game. Fab stuff

  • IMHO you're the best golf instructor out on internet because you focus (and help us understand the importance of) impact versus positions.
    Thanks for your outstanding job.

  • Hiya Mark, I've seen this and other videos of yours a while back… I'm looking at them again a replaying them several times and have had a bit of a light bulb moment as I get a better understanding of the concepts, feels and ideas you're explaining each time I watch. I guess my point is its worth remembering 'we never stop learning but need to keep reviewing, refreshing, assessing, challenging and practising that learning. I wish I lived 200 mikes nearer as I'd love you to coach me but vids will have to do. Thanks for all the great ideas etc John M Essex 16hcp aiming single figs 2018.

  • What does this prove to an average player
A skilled player can probably hit a ball standing on their head
An average player struggles just to hit two shots the same
I agree that strike is the key So all you average players should forget about concentrating on grip takeaway etc and perfect the strike first

  • Omg, this is exactly what happens to me. I have a natural slice, all the expert told me to have stronger grip, it keep slicing more. A weaker grip I hook more. Why is the opposite? Can you explain why this happen to you at the beginning of the video also.

  • Amazing video. This reinforces what I've always believed, ie that golf is about basic hand eye coordination and the individual's ability to get the club face back to the ball square each time. The big question is how do you learn to control the club face consistently?

  • Great video, i guess a lot of coaches are trying to put everyone into the same mould, rather than concentrating on the all important impact. working back is such a good way of looking at the swing. I was told the other day by a golf pro that no golf pros anywhere swing around the body, that's just a trick of the camera angle on TV, but some do! And it works for them…so all good.

  • Very good vid. I thought your grip etc. had to be spot on. I went down the range last week and was practicing impact, by delaying my release a bit and making sure it was from the inside. Two days later  I score 40 pts in a comp. This vid is a real eye opener.

  • This helps, when I go to the trackman tomorrow….try and hit 50 shots with each club and only use my neutral swing with straight club face & learn that swing while having fun. Do that till I can do it all day, then make every attempt to do that on the course for real. Just break 80 and not concentrate on all the fluff for now.

  • Great video. I'm straight on the range tomorrow concentrating on hitting that ball to the target more than looking a good swing

  • When I was still a starter, I was able to attain a slice and One hundred fifty yards by performing a normal drive. After learning these golf swing secrets “kaha shocking guide” (Google it) Now I hit drives between 200 and 220 yards and sometimes longer. My handicap has gone from a 26 to a 16. You should search it and learn now.

  • fantastic video mark, so true, I think that unfortunately, the golf media would have us believe that tour players are swinging the club 'perfectly' when really like you say, its fiding the target that counts and feeling the face and path are the real keys, I know ive ruined plenty of rounds by trying to swing the club apposed to playing the game!
    keep them coming!

  • This video is so refreshing reminds me of Tim Gallwey 's book inner game of golf where he suggested hitting the ball while breaking all the absolutes to get you to understand that your body can work out how to hit target. Great stuff Parfield not all instructors are this open minded. Great reminder to stop micro managing swing technique.

  • Great video. Today I played golf my right shoulder was out of line and its the best score I have shot. My handicap is 3.8 I changed my putting style. I copied Brandt Snedeker putting style and it works 28 putts today. Playing this way makes golf fun. We want people back playing the game. Many teaching pros teach the Ben Hogan method. Ben Hogan hid 1000 golf balls  day.

  • I know this was posted a while ago but I've only just watched it and I have to say that it is probably the most helpful golf video that I've seen, I've been playing golf at a high level for over 20 years and learning what the club needs to be doing through the ball to produce certain shots, is 100% the most important thing to learn, think Bubba! nice one Mark!

  • I'm from an area in Southern California in the states where we are all trying to be "perfect swingers". Therefore thinking that a perfect golf swing would provide good ball striking. I find this tip very helpful Mark. It's not all about "perfect fundamentals." It's all about good ball striking first because that is what dictates good results.
