Animals everywhere are after us! Sort of. There’s a lot of board games about animals, though, and I wanted to share my favorites with you all! Enjoy! Be sure to check out my Patreon to potentially become a direct supporter –
Animals are an interesting theme for board games – there’s a lot of ways to implement them into games, from using them as resources/food to actually playing as animals. For me, I love games that help you learn about how animals lived, learned, developed, and generally do their thing. Plus I have my favorite types of animals to discuss!
What about you all, though? What’re your favorite types of animal-based board games, and why? Or do you prefer games to not involve animals, or have them be ancillary to the game? Let me know in the comments!

I'm a vet student, so I also love games about animals. Nice video
I LOVE BARREN PARK!!
Great video again ✌🏻
Great choices, can’t say I’ve tried these games, but I’d like to have Wingspan & just backed Oceans.
There sure are some bright light where you are 😊
Yeah, Wingspan seems to have created quite a bit of insanity. Apparently the company who sells it hasn't been able to keep up with the demand, which caused a bit of a backlash (which didn't seem to make any sense to me — obviously, they can't possibly accurately anticipate the demand before the game is even released, especially for a game that was such a surprise hit). It's one of these games that has a theme that I'm not sure would connect with any of my friends. But I still want to get it lol. I can always twist some arms.
I've heard about Barenpark before, just enough to arouse a bit of curiosity. Same with Reef. Both games sound like something I might want to check out.
Other than Evolution, the only game about animals that I can think of that I've actually played is Zooloretto, which I didn't care for. Granted, it was a computer translation of the board game, but I didn't enjoy it.
I haven't played any game centered around animals, but Draftosaurus got my attention.
Great topic Danny! I will rewatch your video with my GF, who is an amateur Biologist. She wants to try Viral and Fauna because of that. Have you tried those?
